Alia Bhatt officially changes her name post wedding with Ranbir Kapoor; reveals surname in The Great Indian Kapil Show trailer

Several Bollywood actresses have chosen to change their name post their wedding. Stars like Aishwarya Rai added ‘Bachchan’ title after getting married to Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra added ‘Jonas’ after marrying Nick Jonas, Kareena Kapoor added ‘Khan’ to her name after being married to Saif Ali Khan. Similarly, Alia Bhatt seemed to have changed her name as well since her marriage with Ranbir Kapoor.

In the trailer of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2, Alia Bhatt was seen introducing herself as ‘Alia Bhatt Kapoor’. It so happened, that Sunil Grover who was dressed as a lady arrived on the stage to interact with Alia. He then asked if she was Alia Bhatt. To which, the Brahmastra actor clarified that she is ‘Alia Bhatt Kapoor’ and this left Sunil Grover all sad and the audience was left in splits. This is probably the first time where she has admitted to changing her name and it is official. Well, that’s quite thrilling for everyone right now.

Bhatt graced the show to promote her movie Jigra along with Karan Johar and Vedang Raina. Karan is producing the movie along with Alia. Whereas Vedang essays the role of a brother in Jigra. The movie is scheduled to release on October 11.

The new trailer of Kapil Sharma show will have Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor for the promotions of Devara. A few Indian cricketers are also seen in the trailer.
